The motor brake on Marisa’s miter saw stopped working, so in doing some research I found that the most likely way to repair it is to change out the motor brushes.
We’ve had this miter saw for about eleven years now, and we’ve really put it through its paces. It’s cut a lot of wood, so the fact that the motor brushes have worn out is not that big of a shocker.

Thanks for viewing! I hope you’ve found this information useful.

Hi
my name is Per , I’m from Denmark and i just picked up an old saw like yours, N MS305DB at a scrapyard, everything looks ok except it is starting Extremely slow and runs forever when I release the switch, Came across your video an thought that brush replacement sounds about a good place to start.. My question is, where to get the new brushes ? Do they have to be the originals or any brush I can find on eBay ?
nice video
regards Per.
I got my brushes from eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/182366629498
This item is expired, but should help you find them.
I’m glad this may have helped you. Your symptoms are exactly what mine was doing before replacing the brushes. Good luck!
Thanks lot just orderd from anorher reselller who had the same brushes..
